We offer four mixed-age programs:

  • Infants: Age 2 months - 18 months

Infant

The infant class consists of 10 to 12 infants maximum per classroom with a ratio of one teacher to four infants. At drop-off, parents fill out a daily intake form where they can indicate any changes or new developments in the child’s feeding, napping, toileting, affect, or other unique needs of the child which the teachers need to know about in order to make the day as comfortable as possible for the infant. Throughout the infant’s day, teachers attend to these needs as well as present a range of stimulating activities in the areas of practical life (independence, coordination, and fine and gross motor skills), art (painting and coloring), music (listening, singing and playing simple percussion instruments), sensorial (development of the five senses), language (talking, reading and fingerplays), pre-math (exploring shapes, sizes and simple quantity), outdoor play and occasional buggy walks (weather permitting), tailored to each infant’s development and needs.

  • Toddlers: Age 18 months – 2 ½ years

TodderThe toddler class consists of 12 children maximum with a ratio of one teacher to every six children. Toddler classrooms consist of areas where children can experience many hands-on activities that blend five of the major Montessori curriculum areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math and Art. Children at this age are given many opportunities for building their confidence, grace, and other social-emotional skills, as well as coordination, language development, early math concepts, creative arts and crafts, music, gross and fine motor skills development, toilet training, and independence. Additionally, there is daily nap time for those children who need it.
